I hope you all enjoyed the holiday weekend.
There are just a few updates this week.
CURRICULUM NIGHT
Please plan on attending next week's
curriculum night. We will meet on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 13 at 6:30. I
promise to make it worth your time and still have you home in time for
the Bears/Packers game! Promise!
SPELLING
This week we started making our own spelling lists. Your child can explain the process and we will go over it again on curriculum night. Please help your child practice these words. There will be a test on Friday. Remember-each list is unique-so put it in a safe spot.
MATH
Your child will begin practicing basic math facts on xtra math this week. Many of you are familiar with this program. Quick recall of the basic addition and subtraction facts is a second grade focus throughout the year. Many children will begin work on the multiplication table as well.
HOMEWORK
We made a quick change to the reading log this week. Please keep it attached to the homework packet.
Any reading done over the weekend can be recorded on Monday.
